Description
Project Name: Roy Creek Biomass Stewardship IRSC� Administrative Unit: Eastern Region (R9), Huron-Manistee National Forest, Huron Shores Ranger District, MI Project Location: This project is located on Vandercook Road approximately � mile east of FSR 4759 in, Mikado Township, Alcona County, MI.�The project area lies entirely on National Forest System lands within the administrative boundaries of the Huron Shores Ranger District on the Huron-Manistee National Forest in Michigan. Legal land description is T25N, R07E, Section 25. Description: The Roy Creek Biomass Stewardship IRSC aims to clear out a stand of immature Jack Pine for future Kirtland Warbler habitat creation. Goals will be accomplished through silvicultural management activities designed to remove all biomass from the project area. All work shall be completed by February 15, 2023. Potential bidders are encouraged to make their own inspection and estimate prior to bid submission. The resultant contract will include Forest product removal on 112 acres with an estimated volume of 781 CCF of Jack Pine-Other green biomass.�The estimated quantities in this contract have been determined prior to felling.�The Forest Service makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee of the accuracy of the following quantity estimates: The following work activities are anticipated as mandatory service items: � � �1. Mechanically cut and removal biomass � � �2. Road Maintenance on approximately 7.5 miles of native surface road to facilitate hauling of included timber. The Awardee shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, tools, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals necessary to perform the work in accordance with the specifications and provisions and clauses of the contract. Bid Bonds, Payment Bonds, and Performance Bonds are not required for this project.
