Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Healthcare System, NCO 10 Contracting Activity intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source for the following items listed below.� The associated NAICS code for this is 334516. The vendor will be Agilent Technologies, Inc., 2850 Centerville Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808. � Description of requirements: The Contractor shall provide one (1) synergy H1 microplate reader that allows upgrading to expand functionality as the laboratory workflows change. The instrument, ancillary equipment, quality controls, slides, disposables, consumables, antibodies, reagents, supplies, shipping, and handling costs associated with receipt of reagents, technical manual, service manual, operator training, hardware and software, preventative and repair maintenance agreement, and operator training in the operation of and performance of preventive maintenance on the synergy H1 microplate reader system must be provided to VA Cincinnati Healthcare System. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated and shall be awarded.� It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement.� It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. � This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.� It is not a solicitation or request for offers.� No solicitation package is available.� Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.� Responses must be received no later than 4:30 pm on Thursday, March 10, 2022.
