- This Sources Sought Notice is being published for the purpose of conducting Market Research to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. This is not a solicitation. All costs associated with providing information, as requested by this Sources Sought Notice, shall be the responsibility of the submitter. Submission is voluntary. The United States Geological Survey (USGS), National Water Quality Laboratory (NWQL) is requesting information from organizations that can supply an on-prem, non-oracle based chemical inventory application. Cloud-based solutions are welcome providing they meet FedRAMP configuration requirements. Approximately 5,000 unique chemical names and 20,000 unique containers need to be managed at our facility. We are investigating software programs that have the following attributes: Can successfully migrate all legacy data stored in supporting database to prospective software program. Container Tracking including elements such as: � Real-time chemical data from receipt to disposal � Labels with chemical name, expiration date, and barcode/RFID � Barcode/RFID reader that efficiently download data � Container, location, and ownership barcodes/RFID � Move, Dispose, Dispense operation barcodes/RFID � Report building tool Security & Control � Role-based user permissions and security � Multi-site, multi-tier location hierarchy � Ability for concurrent users � Complete audit trails � Barcode/RFID technology Track and Monitor Chemicals in Real-Time � Track chemical expiration dates to monitor shelf life � Manage chemical amounts by location, owner, regulatory list Compliance � Fire Code Reporting for hazardous materials reporting � Regulatory compliance tools such as: o Tier II Reporting o DHS Chemicals of Concern o Hazardous waste tracking � Ability to add user defined fields to manage concerns such as those listed above � SDS management services The USGS, NWQL is investigating organizations who can demonstrate capabilities and provide a general estimated cost for the product detailed above. An affirmative response must include references with contact names, email address, and phone numbers. These references are to be for contracts similar in scope as the contract under consideration. This information will be evaluated and used to determine if competitive opportunities exist. Affirmative responses must also include supporting information showing the firm can meet all requirements set forth in this announcement. All responses must be submitted NLT 3/13/2022 at 2:30 MST via e-mail to: ysornberger@usgs.gov. This is NOT a Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), or Invitation for Bid (IFB) and does not constitute any commitment by the Government. Responses to this sources sought notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. All interested sources must respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this market survey. Any solicitation that may be issued will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (Fedbizopps.gov) website and no paper copies will be provided.
