- Description
- The Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) intends to issue solicitation N5005422R0008 in support of Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCACs) and Ship to Shore Connector (SSCs) availabilities to meet future operational requirements.� SSCs are the new version of LCACs.� The craft availabilities will include maintenance, repair and modernization.� The work may encompass the following availability types:� LCAC Fleet Modernization Program (FMP), LCAC Post (Service Life Extension Program) SLEP Extension (PSE), SSC Post Shakedown Availability (PSA), Emergent Work/Restricted Availabilities (RAV) and LCAC Retirement (RET) Avails.� � The Government intends to procure the instant requirement as a Firm Fixed-Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity Multiple Award Contract (IDIQ MAC) utilizing the procedures outlined in FAR 15 and FAR 16.� The place of performance will be at Assault Craft Unit Four (ACU-4) located on the Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story (JEBLC) in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The period of performance will be for one (1) base year with four (4) one-year option periods.�� The North American Industry Classification Industry (NAICS) NAICS code for this acquisition is 336611, Ship Building and Repair, and the applicable size standard is 1,250 employees. A Sources Sought Notice was posted to Contract Opportunities at http://sam.gov/ on 14 July 2021 under tracking number N5005421R0010.� Based on the results of the Sources Sought Notice and other market research conducted, the Government has determined this requirement will be competed as a Small Business set-aside. A Small Business Coordination Record (form DD-2579) documenting this decision was approved by the Small Business Deputy. A complete request for proposal (RFP) package will be available via the Solicitation Module in the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) located at https://piee.eb.mil/piee-landing/ on or around 8 April 2022.� Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above site. This office will NOT issue hard copy solicitations.� By submitting an offer, the contractor is self-certifying neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept an offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges any prospective awardee must be registered in the SAM database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of the contract resulting from this solicitation.
