19th Air Force Introductory Flight Training � Rotary (IFT-R) Industry Day Announcement 24 March 2022 Air Education and Training Command, in concert with the 19th Air Force, will host a IFT-R Industry Day to provide an overview of the current state of Air Force rotary flying training and areas where 19th Air Force is seeking industry�s insight and perspective to improve the United States Air Force�s (USAF) Pilot Production programs.� This event intends to promote specific areas of interest, promote an early exchange of information, and provide an opportunity for both the Government and industry to gather more information about existing or future capabilities. The USAF has determined that this meeting for execution expectations of Introductory Flight Training � Rotary (IFT-R) is a more viable means to engage industry partners, in efforts to identify an effective means to address rotary pilot production.� This approach provides the Government an opportunity to discuss training expectations and innovative rotary platform approaches to meet a sound IFT-R program. �A formal Request for Information (RFI) with objectives was released for the IFT-R (50 Hour) effort Feb 2022.� The Government will not assume liability for costs incurred by any attendee for presentations, marketing efforts, or data offered for examination. Industry partners who are not able to attend the Industry Day may still obtain a copy of the presentation materials. �Simply register for the event and slides will be sent out to all who are eligible. II. DATE,�LOCATION, AGENDA, REGISTRATION, LOGISTICS WHEN:��24 March 2022 WHERE:�The event will be in person at JBSA � Randolph AFB. Details will be provided to eligible registered participants only. Given site limitations, access will be provided on a first-come-first-serve basis based on time of registration. SCHEDULE: The Industry Day will be a one (1) day event and will begin at 0800 hours Central Standard Time (CST) on 24 March 2022. The one (1) day event will consist of a program overview by the 19th Air Force and a question and answer (Q&A) session, with a prioritized list of those questions submitted ahead of time. �Industry is highly encouraged to ask questions during the Industry Day open discussion period.� Additionally, Industry is highly encouraged to submit questions in advance if desired.� The Government will attempt to answer those questions during the open discussion period without identifying submitters. Tentative Agenda *All sessions will be conducted in the Central Time Zone 24 March 2022 0745� 0800: Government & Industry sign-in 0800 � 0815: 19th AF Welcome Remarks� 0815 -- 0830: 338 Enterprise Sourcing Squadron Remarks 0830 - 0900: Government Comments to Industry 0900 - 1100: 19 AF Topic Specific Presentation / Rotary Initiatives 1100 - 1130: Start Industry/Government Q&A Session (No one-on one or breakout sessions) 1130 - 1245: Lunch 1300 - 1445: Continue Industry/Government Q&A session (No one-on one or breakout sessions) 1430 � 1445: 19th AF Closing Remarks Note: Breaks will be determined throughout the day WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Companies interested and experienced in providing complete rotary pilot training programs, including, but not limited to: architecture technical solutions, instructor pilot training, simulator instruction, initial flight training, immersive training environments and rotary wing pilot training. The Government is interested in industry�s inputs into overcoming risks, issues and challenges associated with overcoming rotary pilot production activities.� EVENT TIMELINE: Phase 1:� Registration Opens:�Interested respondents who wish to participate must register per the instructions below NLT 21 March 2022 CST. Phase 2:� 24 March 2022 � IFT-R�Industry Day:�During the IFT-R Industry Day, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Subject Matter Experts and discuss questions for the General Q&A Session.� HOW:�All parties interested in attending the IFT-R Industry Day must submit an email with the subject line: �Company Name, Response to Mar 2022 Industry Day Announcement for IFT-R, 24 March 2022� to�Title of this RFI To Mr. Javier Rangel, AETC.A5QR.FlyingOpsSupport@us.af.mil no later than 1600 hours CST on 21 March 2022. (Messages sent to the Sam.gov Primary and Alternate POCs will not be read or forwarded.� All messages must be sent to Mr. Javier Rangel) Respondents are highly encouraged to submit any comments or questions before the event. Reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis or until capacity has been met. AETC will not accommodate any reservations that come in after the above stated date and time. Each attendee�s registration email should contain the following: Company name, CAGE code, Business unit, and address Primary point of contact name, phone number and email List of attendees � provide full legal name A confirmation of registration for the event will be provided by email. Please note, telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Additional Industry Day information will be provided to attendees as it becomes available. There will be no registration fee for the IFT-R Industry Day. III. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION�This event is intended to provide a collaborative engagement between Government and industry partners, in areas that might afford industry to provide insightful solutions. However none of the conversations, responses to questions, or briefing materials are intended to bind the Government to particular course of action or solution. JBSA COVID-19 Guidance Memorandum #61�� Implementation of modified mask guidance; Fully vaccinated personnel on JBSA are no longer required to wear masks when indoors in DoD-controlled facilities. Unvaccinated personnel are still required to follow all appropriate COVID-19 mitigation measures, including mask-wear and physical distancing. Individual company conversations with 19AF leadership regarding IFT-R related topics are not permitted. Civilian employees, DoD contractors and all other invited guests will provide either proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test obtained no more than 72 hours prior to event check-in.� Event organizers must implement a process to verify attendees� COVID-19 vaccination status, waiver, or negative COVID-19 test at or before check-in. Approved masks (in accordance with mask guidance set forth by DoD policy) and social distancing for all participants through event communication channels� Please identify whether you will be providing a negative test or proof of vaccination status via email no later than 16 March.
