Description

The Contractor shall properly collect and dispose of non-hazardous solid waste including administrative office waste, industrial operations waste, bulky items, recyclable material, green waste, rubbish and construction debris, and foreign-source garbage received from ships.� The services to be provided will support a variety of administrative, industrial, recreation type facilities, ships berthed at Naval Weapons Station Earle, and will be accomplished by means of a combination Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) and Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract for recurring (FFP) and non-recurring (IDIQ) requirements, and are consistent with the FAR 37.101 definition of service contracts. The proposed contract action�s period of performance shall be a 12-month base period with four 12-month option periods beginning on 01 June 2022. A Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued for this work with the solicitation and award made utilizing FAR Subpart 13.5 � Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. One contract will be awarded from the solicitation to the responsible offeror whose quote conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Evaluation criteria for award will be included in the solicitation. �The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 562111 (Solid Waste Collection). The size standard is $41,500,000. The proposed procurement will be issued as 100% Small Business Set-Aside, open to only small business concerns, based upon the responses received from the Sources Sought announcement SolidWasteSourcesSought2022 dated 02 February 2022 to 16 February 2022. The estimated release date of the solicitation is 01 April 2022 on SAM.gov. The estimated receipt date for quotes is 02 May 2022 by 2:00 p.m. (see solicitation documents when available for quote submission instructions). All vendors are required to register in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. Failure to register in the SAM makes a vendor ineligible for award. Information regarding this registration may be obtained by accessing the website at https://www.sam.gov/.
