This notice is for informational planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation, a promise of a solicitation in the future, or otherwise commits the Government to contract for any supply or service. Description The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is seeking potential sources for production of 57mm High Explosive � 4-Bolt Guided (HE-4G) MK332 MOD 0 cartridges, to include all components, Load Assemble and Pack (LAP), and First Article and Lot Acceptance testing in accordance with requirements specified in the technical data package (TDP) and weapons specification. The HE-4G cartridge is an electrically-primed cartridge designed to function in the 57mm MK 110 Gun Mount (GM),and is intended for combating surface and air targets. To attain copies of the documents, companies must submit a written request to the Contracting Officer, Cady Ramirez, at cady.h.ramirez.civ@us.navy.mil and the Contract Specialist Edgar Sheppard, at edgar.a.sheppard2.civ@us.navy.mil �by 16 MAY 2022. The written request must include the company name, CAGE Code, and point of contact (including email address). The document will be distributed via SAFE site (https://safe.apps.mil/). �Authorized contractors are encouraged to review the TDP.� To be an authorized contractor, the contractor shall be a United States Department of Defense contractor with an approved DD Form 2345, Military Critical Technical Data Agreement, approved and on file at the Defense Logistics Agency�s website. �Respondents are encouraged to provide comments/feedback to any concern pertaining to the TDP. In addition, national policy does not support release of the documents to foreign sources. Planned Acquisition � NAVSEA anticipates a four-year Firm-Fixed-Price contract consisting of a base and three options starting in FY23. The estimated procurement quantities are 1,430 cartridges for the base period and up to 1,320 cartridges per option period, if exercised. It can be provided as an appendix to the response.� The responses should also state areas in the sources sought document or in the performance specification/TDP that are not technically achievable or are particular technical challenges.
