- The Department of Interior (DOI), National Park Service (NPS), Interior Region 1, North Atlantic - Appalachian (IR1), New England Major Acquisition Buying Office (NE-MABO), is soliciting quotations on a Full and Open Competition After Exclusion of Sources basis from all responsible small businesses having the capability to perform the work described below. This procurement action is being solicited as a TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The small business size standard for NAICS Code 562910, Remediation Services, is $22.0 million. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to participate in this requirement. The SAM can be found at https://www.sam.gov. Payments will be made via Electronic Funds Transfer using the data within the SAM registration database. This pre-solicitation announcement is not a solicitation document, but pre-notice of an upcoming solicitation. Specific instructions on submitting your quotation will be contained in the solicitation documents to be issued on or after the date listed below. This requirement is being procured in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Proposed Solicitation Issue Date: Estimated on/about April 05, 2022. Solicitation will be issued on SAM.gov only. Use keyword 140P4322Q0012. Quotes will be due approximately 30 days after solicitation is issued. Period of Performance: 06/06/2022 - 11/04/2022. *** Note -->> No onsite work between June 1st and September 1st. *** Title of Project: Asbestos Abatement, Storm Beach and Sand Beach Garages, Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, ME. Description. Base: Remove approximately 1088 square feet roof shingles and approximately 1180 square feet of siding on Sand Beach Garage, and approximately 960 square feet roof shingles on Storm Beach Garage. Option 1: Light removal of lead paint from the garage of Storm Beach location approximately 915 square feet. Estimated magnitude of this construction project is between $25,000 and $100,000. This work involves performing work as defined in the Statement of Work that will be provided when solicitation is issued. Detailed requirements and/or specifications will be listed within the solicitation. A Firm Fixed Price award is contemplated from this solicitation with an award to the offeror(s) providing the best value, based on the evaluation criteria outlined in the solicitation once issued.
