- Description
- The Government is issuing a solicitiation for the Gavins Point/Lewis and Clark Lake Prescribed Burning Services at Gavins Point Dam in South Dakota.� This solicitation will close on the 28th of March 2022.� The solicitation is 100% Small Business Set Aside. All contractors must be registered and have an active and verified account in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to receive a contract from any DoD activity.� Contractors may access the internet site at https://www.sam.gov/ to register and/or obtain information about the SAM program.� Contractors must ensure that the applicable NAICS code is included in their proposal prior to submission of offer. Project Description:� This is a contract for prescribed burning services of vegetation located on sandbars in Lewis And Clark Lake on the Missouri River. �These sandbars have been treated with herbicide, and the burning is required to remove the dead standing vegetation. �The prescribed burning will provide two benefits; �1) removal of noxious exotic Phragmites vegetation, and 2) provide improved habitat for the threatened Piping Plover shorebird that nests on or near these islands. �The prescribed burning needs to be completed before mid-April when the threatened birds begin to arrive in the area. NAICS Code:� The Primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code anticipated for solicitation is NAICS 562910 - Remediation Services with a Small Business size standard of $22 Million.� Obtaining Solicitation Documents: Solicitation documents will be posted to the web via Contract Opportunities (formerly Federal Business Opportunities) (https://sam.gov > Contract Opportunities).
