QUESTION: Is the terrazzo shower only to be coated with a slip resistant material or is the terrazzo to be removed and replaced with a slip resistant material. It appears to be only a coating. VA RESPONSE: All 18 restrooms will require the epoxy coating to be demolished in the shower areas only. Any corrective measures necessary to repair cracks or deficiencies in the existing concrete will be performed prior to installing the new non-slip epoxy flooring in the shower areas. QUESTION: Page 5, paragraph 17 references a mold remediation website http://www.epa.gov/mold/mold_remediation.html#Key Steps.  The screen shot below shows the result of the search for the site. Is there another site to reference? I would like to know what the largest door is. VA RESPONSE: 3 x 7 QUESTION: The bulkhead in the Nurses Station is to be painted. There are lights in the bulkhead. Please not that the thickness of the resinous cove base is 1/8 to 3/16 , applying tile over the cove base could leave a void. I d recommend applying a waterproof membrane (30 mil thickness) on the floor as well as on the cove base. This will allow fo the tile to abut the cove base and provide a waterproofing membrane behind both systems . Please advise. VA RESPONSE: Please construct based upon the scope of work.
