Description

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. This is not a request for offers or proposals. This notice does not represent a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The Government does not intend to pay for information solicited. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), NCO 2 James J. Peters, VA Medical Center, is seeking highly qualified construction firms to: Provide Turnkey Installation services to design and construct site prep to Upgrade MRI UPS system on 7th floor of Bldg. 6 (OPC) for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 423 East 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010 in accordance with manufacturer equipment drawings & specifications and VA specifications for MRI equipment guide for a full turn-key project. Work shall meet all VA design guidelines and requirement. This work shall include all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision. Provide Turnkey Installation for a new 700amp, 480v, 3phase power feeder from the basement up to 7th floor mechanical space where power service will pass through Two (2) new Philips supplied UPS systems, then back down to the existing 1.5T & 3.0T MRI equipment rooms located on 6th floor. Services shall include demolition, installation, structural evaluation, Turnkey Installation services related to incidental installation or equipment, construction management, the contractor shall also supply the following statement of work, room drawings, and price breakdown for the extended installation work to be performed at the NYHHS Manhattan Campus. Contractor will be responsible for the development of specifications and drawings. Construction documents to be provided to the VA include: Construction documents production (drawings and specifications) by Professional Engineer to be approved by VA. The estimated Construction Cost Range for this effort is the range prescribed in VAAR 836.204, is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. This solicitation is issued under the Small Business competitiveness demonstration program. The applicable NAICS Code is 236220 with a small business size standard of $39.5 Million and MUST have knowledgeable experience. The firm will be responsible for providing all management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies and equipment, and shall plan, schedule, and coordinate as per requirements of all governing agencies.
