Description

PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-year, sole source, firm-fixed-price service contract with Vertiv, located at 44611 Guilford Dr., Suite 180, Ashburn, VA. 20147.� The purpose of this contract is to procure a one-year preventative maintenance service for eight Liebert in row chillers. �� The FBI Laboratory Division (LD) currently utilizes Liebert in row chillers in an unclassified server room. The Liebert chillers are precision cooling units that use a chilled water configuration and are installed within a row of high-density computing racks to maintain the temperature of the room. If the chillers fail, the Laboratory Division�s (LD) unclassified server room reaches temperatures of 100+ degrees in under an hour, which could result in permanent damage to IT equipment in this room. Per the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), only Vertiv certified technicians can service these chillers. �� This notice will be distributed solely through the Official U.S. Government System for Contract Opportunities Website, SAM.gov. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. �All capability statements or quotes shall include an OEM Authorized Reseller and Service Provider letter or certificate and submitted to the Contracting Officer, Adelle Bolton by email. �Submissions received omitting the OEM Authorization letter or certificate will not be considered.� The email address is albolton@fbi.gov. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Telephone requests will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Sole Source Justification is available upon request. � All responses to this intent to sole source are due to the contracting officer by 05:00 PM EST on April 02, 2022.
