Description
This is a Request for Information (RFI). This RFI shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP), or any solicitation or obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to select or qualify proposals or offers on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for information obtained via this RFI or in response to this notice. � No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this RFI. The Government is performing market research to determine which organizations, companies and academic institutions are researching or developing technology to extract water from the atmosphere. Based on the need for water for multiple purposes by all branches of the U.S. Military, as well as for disaster relief and a variety of other situations, the U.S. Army DEVCOM GVSC is soliciting this search to (1) better acquaint itself with existing technology and solutions being developed, (2) optimize expertise and effectiveness, (3) share knowledge and (4) implement efficient options to enhance water production. To accomplish its mission, GVSC is focused on building a Atmospheric Water Extraction Experts Working Group. Accordingly, the intention of this RFI is to bring defense and federal agencies, together with industry and academia to collaborate and better understand the capabilities of available technology, while improving the magnitude of future solutions. In addition, the data collected by U.S. Army DEVCOM GVSC will be shared with other branches and organizations like DARPA to better inform the broader community of what is within the realm of possible with potential providers.� � SECTION 2: Requested Information U.S. Army DEVCOM GVSC is granted authority under the U.S. Army to leverage third-party capital, asset ownership and solicit knowledgeable resources to drive innovation for water extraction and purification Respondents to this RFI are responsible for understanding the use and requirements of the information being solicited below. Responding to the RFI does not guarantee you a role within the Working Group but it will being visibility of your capabilities to the U.S. Army.
