- The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.106-1) with American National Standards Institute, Incorporated, 1899 L St NW 11th Floor, Washington, DC 20036-3804, for the purchase of International Standards Organization Program (ISO) Memberships. Through this contract, ERDC EL will maintain its membership status. All members must pay an annual membership fee. This fee covers all costs of membership required to submit methods for approval, to vote on proposed methods, and participate in TAGs. ISO membership is a specific requirement for any entity seeking international approval and certification of scientific methods. EL engages in method development as part of its mission. The ISO membership will allow EL to submit new methods to the ISO board for review to be chosen as an internationally accepted and certified method. This acquisition is being conducted under FAR 13.106-1. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement.� The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 813920 with a Small Business Size Standard of $16.5 million.� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement.� However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including price, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same or similar product.� All capability statements received by the closing date of the publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
