Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 10, 260 E University Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45219, intends to award a sole source purchase order contract to Varian Medical Systems Inc., 3100 Hansen Way E-240, Palo Alto, CA 94304-1038, to provide the VISN10 location in Indianapolis, Indiana with the existing Varian ARIA radiation oncology information system on Bio-Med VLAN. This is a FAR Subpart 16.505(b)(2)(i)(B): Only one awardee is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services ordered are unique or NAICS Code 339112. Radiation Oncology uses high energy x-rays to treat cancer patients. Varian Medical Systems Inc currently provides TrueBeam linear accelerators (LINACs) and Varian ARIA ROIS the radiation oncology information system. The procurement of this package is anticipated to be used at all Indianapolis radiation oncology departments that use Varian LINACs and ROIS. The contract is turnkey, currently providing computer hardware and software, both maintained by Varian. Servers will be refreshed at appropriate intervals as part of the current Varian contract in place. The Varian equipment to include the following: Turnkey virtualized on premise hosting of existing Varian ARIA radiation oncology information system on Bio-Med VLAN This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), to publicize the proposed contract action. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. No solicitation documents are available; however, any firm that believes it that they can meet the Varian requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 24 hours from the date of publication of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in enough detail to demonstrate compliance. Information must be sent electronically to dwight.petsche@va.gov. Any responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government as to whether to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received within 24 hours of publication or by 5:00PM March 28, 2022, to be considered.
