Description

This is NOT a request for proposal or invitation for bid.� Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), Public Works Department (PWD) Newport, located at Newport, Rhode Island, announces a requirement for a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) construction contract for project: NUWC Building 1318 New Production Space Utilities. This project shall be bid to include all labor, tools, qualified supervision, equipment, materials, supplies, equipment, and permits necessary to complete the General Requirements and Statement of Work. Project Information: Title:��Building 1318 New Production Space Utilities (Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport, Rhode Island) Location:� Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport, RI, 02841 The Government will issue the solicitation as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) as a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. Contract award will be based on Far Part 14 � Sealed Bidding.� Award shall be made on the total of the�Base Bid to the responsive and responsible bidder with the lowest price acceptable to the Government. The IFB will be issued on or about��20 April 2022.� The offeror is responsible to monitor and download any amendments for the solicitation from the Contract Opportunities (https://beta.sam.gov) website. Description of Work: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) has a requirement to provide water, sewer, and electrical utilities to a new production space, 24�x60� modular building, outside of building 1318.� The entire scope of this project is indicated in the associated specification and on the associated drawing set.� In summary, the Contractor shall: confirm the locations of existing underground utilities and structures in the project area using ground penetrating radar; excavate the water and sewer lines at the tap area locations, and the electric service to building 1318 where indicated; excavate and provide and install all materials required for new water, sewer, and electric trenches; provide and install all new materials required for water, sewer, and electric service to the new production space from the connection points of the existing utilities; provide and install all materials required for a new exterior power/data/comms concrete slab near the new production space; backfill all trenches as specified.
