- THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. The purpose of this RFI is to conduct market research for qualified contractor Support for MK44 Stretch 30x173 Millimeter Cannon Operator and Maintainer Training. This RFI is for planning and informational purposes only and shall NOT be considered as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. The Government will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred in responding to this RFI or furnishing additional information. This RFI constitutes market research in accordance with FAR Part 10. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The United States Marine Corps (USMC) Program Manager Advanced Amphibious Assault (PM AAA) Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) program has a requirement to procure contractor provided Operator and Maintainer training support for the MK44 Stretch 30x173 Millimeter Cannon, which are integrated on the ACVs. This effort requires a Contractor to provide training by or equivalent to that of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) trainer with respect to the operation, repair, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and maintenance actions to support development, testing, and fielding of the ACV-30. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS The Contractor shall provide Instructor & Key Personnel Training (I&KPT), including training on the operation and maintenance of the MK44 Stretch 30x173 Millimeter Cannon, at the contractor�s facility. Trainers shall be subject matter expert level in order to effectively convey the hands-on instruction that can transferred to real world applications.� The Contractor shall provide a total of up to ten operator and ten maintainer classes each year, for a total of five years. Each operator and maintainer I&KPT class shall not exceed twelve (12) trainees for each class. � ___________________________________________________________________________________ Responses: The Government requests that responses, in addition to generally describing how they would meet the requirement described above, address the following questions: What training or certification exists that would enable a contractor to provide training similar to that of the OEM? Describe how a contractor would obtain and maintain subject matter expertise from the OEM? Describe the contractor�s facility (location, capacity, and access to the MK44 Stretch 30x173 Millimeter Cannon). Responses to the RFI shall be submitted electronically to Marc Alexis@usmc.mil no later than 15 April 2021, 1PM EST. The Government has identified NAICS Code 611699 All Other Miscellaneous Schools and Instruction as the applicable NAICS code. The Government will consider all information received by the response date. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this RFI is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Note:� Proprietary information or trade secrets, if any, must be clearly marked on all materials. All information received that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. All Government reviewing RFI responses will have signed non-disclosure agreements and understand their responsibility for proper use and protecting from unauthorized disclosure of proprietary information as described in 41 U.S.C. � 423, Procurement Integrity. The Government shall not be held liable for any damages incurred if proprietary information is not properly identified.
