Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 2, intends to award a sole source award contract to Independent Temperature Control, 117-19 14th Road, College Point, NY 11356. The Bronx VAMC is seeking emergency services to repair the Air Handling Unit AHU-2. Located at 130 W. Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10468. The Emergency repairs are required for AHU-2 due to a steam coil burst and other control issues. The steam coil burst caused excessive moisture in the SPS area and resulted in sterile equipment being rendered unusable. Currently heating for the SPS area cannot function properly. AHU-2 is a Titus Revolution TFX Model No. TFXI-084X090 located on the ground floor at 130 West Kingsbridge Rd, Bronx NY, 10468. VA personnel and the contractor shall inspect AHU-2 before any work is performed and agree on the condition and any existing damage or failures prior to beginning work. A final inspection for quality assurance will take place after completion of the work by VA personnel prior to acceptance. Period of Performance: April 18, 2022 thru May 18, 2022 NAICS: 811310 (Size Standard $8.0 Million) For future consideration, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement by April 5, 2022 at 10AM (EST). Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. Responses to this electronic notice must be made by 10:00 a.m. EST on April 5, 2022.
