- The Purpose of Amendment #1 is to answer questions, revise RFQ/SOW, and extend close date. See- (1) Answers to questions below. Q.1 What is the current manufacture of the patient lifts? Arjo-Huntleigh (Now Arjo) Q.2 What are the issues of the existing lifts? The current units are beyond their life expediency. There are no significant issues with these lifts. There have been a lot of battery replacements in the past 2 years and at least 10 charging issues within the rail systems. Q.3 Can plans be provided for the areas that will be receiving the new lifts? Yes, See Patient Lift Plan Portfolio attachment Q.4 Can the rooms that will be receiving lifts be identified by room number in plan? Yes, See Patient Lift Plan Portfolio attachment Q.5 Will a site visit be allowed? No. See Patient Lift Plan Portfolio attachment Q.6 Can VA provide the descriptions and dimensions of the track layouts, per line item? Yes, the current track lengths are 13 Q.7 When and will team meeting be scheduled? Yes, after contract award. Q.8 Do you require job to be OSHA certified? Yes. OSHA 30 is required. Q.9 Do you required a certified OEM/manufacturer installation technician? Yes. Q.10 Do you require certification for install? Yes, see specification number 11 and 26. Q.11 Will the HVAC system need to be isolated in any of the rooms? Yes, see specification number 25. Q.12 If current power receptacles are not in an appropriate location, will contractor be responsible for the relocation of power to support the lift system? No Q.13 Will VA be responsible for electrical and HVAC portions? Yes. Any necessary site-prep that is required will be handled through a separate site prep contract that the VA will put in place once the vendor is selected, and the site prep needs (if any) are clearly identified. Q.14 Do you fixed tracks? In the basement to provide maintenance/testing on overhead lifts, and in outpatient PT Q.15 Do you need linear tracks? In engineering, and outpatient PT Q.16 Do you need U tracks? In outpatient PT. Q.17 Will contractor shall be responsible for the repair (patch/paint) of all hard ceilings that are affected during the installation/deinstallation of ceiling mounted patient lifts? Yes, see specification number 15. Q.18 Is there XY or H Track Configuration with continuous charge requirement? All overhead lifts are requested to be charging on the rails. Close date is extended to close 4/12/22 EST @1300
