Description
SOURCES SOUGHT The West Haven, Connecticut Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in accordance with the Veterans Affairs Connecticut Healthcare System (VACHS) has a requirement for a Firm-Fixed-Price Contract to provide construction-related services associated with the following project objectives: Providing as well as installing a hydraulic dock lift and foundation compatible with the existing loading dock; Providing as well as installing an adequate safety rail at the top of the existing loading dock; and Disposing of the current loading dock lift and related components. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238290 and the small business size standard is $16.5 million. Any interested Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), or Small Business (SB) must indicate interest for this project, in writing, to the Contract Specialist no later than April 11, 2022 at 12:00 pm EST via e-mail to Dirk.Kelley@va.gov. Any interested SDVOSB, VOSB, or SB should be familiar with the West Haven, Connecticut VAMC and/or Veterans Integrated Services Network (VISN) 1 that services the New England region. To qualify as interested in this project, information pertaining to the following five (5) components must be submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice on or before April 11, 2022 at 12:00 pm EST: (1) Statement of Intent that a Proposal will be submitted to the future Solicitation for this project, which said Statement of Intent shall include the company s System for Award Management Unique Entity Identifier (SAM UEI) Number and the company s Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) Number; (2) Verification through VetBiz on the Vendor Information Pages (VIP) as a SDVOSB or VOSB under the NAICS Code of 238290, if applicable; (3) Identification of the brand name and model number of the hydraulic dock lift being proposed for installation; (4) Evidence of previous experience in installing hydraulic dock lifts that are compatible with a similarly-situated dock; and (5) Evidence of the company s ability to perform at least twenty-five percent (25%) of this requirement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.219-14: Limitations on Subcontracting. All five (5) components must be submitted, in sufficient detail, prior to the designated deadline for a determination on available and interested SDVOSBs, VOSBs, or SBs. Failure to submit each of the five (5) components, as identified above, will result in a Contractor not being considered as an interested SDVOSB, VOSB, or SB. If adequate interest is not received to this Sources Sought Notice by SDVOSBs, VOSBs, and/or SBs, then this project will not be set-aside. As indicated above, interested businesses may reply to this Sources Sought Notice via e-mail to Dirk.Kelley@va.gov. Businesses must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). To register in the SAM database, visit www.sam.gov. SDVOSBs or VOSBs must also be verified by the Center for Veteran Enterprises (CVE). This Sources Sought Notice was prepared and considered in accordance with FAR 5.203, FAR 5.204, and FAR 5.207. Pursuant to FAR 15.201(a) and FAR 15.201(c)(5), this is a Presolicitation Notice to encourage early exchanges of information for future acquisitions.
