Description

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The work includes maintenance at the Fish Creek Wildlife Observation Site. Work items include the demolition and replacement of existing timber boardwalk posts and hardware as well as repair of a sinkhole in the paved parking area. The site is an active brown bear and black bear area in a remote location without communications. The site is adjacent to an anadromous stream requiring protection from construction impacts. Minimize impacts or potential harm to wildlife, the creek, existing recreation facilities to remain, and the surrounding landscape. The Contractor shall assume all risk, loss, damage, or expense arising out of prosecution of the work, except as otherwise provided in the contract. PROJECT LOCATION: This project is located in the Tongass National Forest, Salmon River Road, approximately 3 miles from, Hyder, AK, US, 99923 Work is estimated to begin�May 15, 2022. Technical Point of Contact is Dave Wenner, email, David.Wenner@usda.gov. Both performance and payment bonds will be required for this project as well as a bid guarantee. Estimated project value is between $250,000 and $500,000. NAICS with size standard $16.5 mil. This project is set aside 100% for small business. Solicitation Due Date: May 2, 2022 by 4pm PDT.
