- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION The Government is issuing this Request for Information to determine a competitive basis for the procurement described. This is not a solicitation. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this survey. This survey is for market research purposes only.� Only contractors capable of performing this type of work should respond to this Request for Information. Requirement The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Nashville District, anticipates a requirement for a firm fixed-price construction contract for Removal and Replacement of the Overhead Hoist at Pickwick Lock, in Counce, Tennessee. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. In the scope of this contract, the Contractor shall be required to perform the following tasks: a.� Field verify all the equipment connections, wiring, and all other features of the existing 1 Ton Monorail Hoist. b.� Remove the existing 1-ton hoist mechanism making sure to not damage the remaining Monorail, Monorail Mounting Brackets, or existing site equipment or utilities that are not a part of this contract. c.� Provide and install a fully operational, new 1-ton hoist mechanism on the existing Monorail. d. Construct a new Monorail for a 2-ton hoist on the Land Side of the Lock Operations Building.� e.� Provide and install a fully operational, new 2-ton hoist.� The new hoist will be installed on the newly installed monorail.� The Contractor will be required to provide all plant, labor, and materials to complete the project. The anticipated NAICS code is 333923- Overhead Traveling Crane, Hoist and Monorail System Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,250 (employees) Survey The Government is issuing this notice to determine a competitive basis.
