This request is solely for the purpose of conducting market research to enhance the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 16 (NCO 16) understanding of the market offered products, services, and capabilities. Your responses to the sources sought will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. The VA, NCO 16 is seeking to identify any vendor capable of providing ERBE Argon Plasma Coagulation Unit and accessories, brand name or equal per the line items provided to support the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center . The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 339113, Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing with a size standard of 750 employees. Is your company considered small under the NAICS code identified in this sources sought announcement? 5. If you re a small business and you are an authorized distributor/reseller for the items identified above (or equivalent product), do you alter; assemble; modify; the items requested in any way? If you do, state how and what is altered, assembled, and modified? 6. Submit your capabilities in regard to the salient characteristics being provided and any information pertaining to equal to items to establish capabilities for planning purposes? *** Submissions addressing section (6) should show clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that all equal to items"" meet all required salient characteristics. 7. Vendors are requested to submit estimated market research pricing with their responses. The estimated pricing will be considered when determining the procurement strategy for the future solicitation. (e.g., if Contracting Officer determines that capable small businesses cannot provide fair and reasonable pricing, then the solicitation will not be set-aside).
