Description
The Commander Fleet Readiness Center (COMFRC) hereby gives notice of their intent to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order to Harris Corporation, 2400 Palm Bay Rd, NE, Palm Bay, FL 32905 on a sole source basis. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 8.405-6(a) (C), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. COMFRC HQ, Radar Signal Simulator Repairs COMFRC requires Repairs for Radar Signal Simulators; NIIN 01-497-7780; P/N FT0100-3.� Each Radar Signal Simulator requires T&E and repairs in order to return the units to operational condition and to ensure Fleet readiness. �This requirement is a follow-on to previously procured Radar Signal Simulator test, evaluation, and repair. Harris Corporation is the designer, developer and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the Radar Signal Simulator units, and retains all the proprietary /technical data rights required in order to perform approved and necessary repairs of the simulators.� The Radar Signal Simulator produces artificial radar echoes in order to test the radar equipment on various Navy and Marine Corps aircraft. Included in the purchase:� - ����������� Perform test and evaluation on Radar Signal Simulators and perform repairs to bring the units back to operational condition. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement without impacting the requirement.� A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
