Description
4/5/22 Amendment 0003 - RFI Response Update. Offer due date extension. CO Change. 3/31/22 Amendment 0002 - RFI Responses. Offer due date extension. 3/8/22 Amendment 0001 - Site Visit re-scheduled to Wed 3/16. See SF30. DEMOLITION The demolition in this project would include removing all sealants, including all wet seals. NEW WORK The main goal of this project is to address, correct, and maintain a watertight building for years to come during any wind driven water weather event. This project includes replacement of all sealants between the pre-cast and granite panels, at the perimeter of all windows and curtain wall systems, sealants within the curtain wall system, and sealants at the stucco and granite movement joints. All existing joint materials will be removed, and all joints cleaned and prepped for new sealant joint materials. Applying a water repellant to all the precast, granite, and stucco surfaces will be done which will significantly reduce the amount of water that is absorbed into these materials and subsequently reduce the amount of water vapor that migrates to the interior of the building. New work will also include ASTM and AAMA testing of the sealant joints to ensure no water intrusion takes place after installation of the sealants. A water test will be performed to verify adequate coverage of the exterior water repellent. The preceding description is for informational purposes only and may not reflect the complete and accurate scope of work. Please review the RFP and project documents for the official requirements. NOTE: Existing Drawings/As-builts will be provided upon request.
