Description

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE / PROPOSAL The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA), on behalf of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC), Department of Pathology, intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Roche Diagnostics, Corp, 9115 Hague Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46256. Roche Diagnostics is the sole manufacturer and distributor of the platforms HE600, Benchmark Ultra, and Benchmark Special strainers and all the associated reagents and consumables. The anticipated award will be made under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition, FAR 13.501 (a) sole source (including brand name) acquisitions. The contract is intended to procure Immunoassay and Clinical Chemistry Reagent Kits to aid in the detection of substances and measure the concentration of ions, molecules, and complexes present in bodily fluids such as whole blood, plasma, serum, urine, and cerebrospinal fluid. The above-mentioned reagent kits are specifically made for use with current installed platforms HE600, Benchmark Ultra, and Benchmark Special strainers. The primary North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed action based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities by responding to this notice no later than 10:00am EST, Monday, April 11, 2022 by email to sagry.m.carcamo.ctr@mail.mil and cc: marvin.k.walker.civ@mail.mil. All information submitted should support the offeror�s capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government reserves the right to cancel the sole source award.
