- Description
- Naval Information Warfare Systems Command, Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic and NIWC Pacific plan to attend the Information Warfare Research Project (IWRP) Consortium Quarterly Industry Day on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 1000 to 1730 EST. The event will include presentations from Dr. Suzanne Huerth, NIWC Atlantic Senior Science Technical Manager (SSTM) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the IWRP program manager and consortium management firm, technical briefs, and one- on-one breakout teleconferences. Technical briefs will include a variety of information warfare research technology focus area topics. It is anticipated that the topics will be the basis of upcoming Requests for Prototype Projects (RPPs) to IWRP consortium members. This is not a RPP, but for planning purposes only. A project will not be awarded from this announcement. In order to obtain more information regarding the projects below, you must be a member of the IWRP Consortium. For more information on becoming an IWRP consortium member, please visit https://www.theiwrp.org. The purpose of this announcement is to provide members of the IWRP Consortium and industry advanced notification of the government's intent. The government anticipates three (3) RPPs for white papers, enhanced white papers or full proposals to be solicited via N65236-22-9-0001. RPP topics will include a technical brief and one-on-one break-out teleconferences. The RPP topics consist of the following: 1) 22-LANT-1173 Norfolk 5G Enhanced Infrastructure and Applications Prototype: The government is seeking enhancements to the 5G/Next G Shipboard and Pier-side testbed and architecture. This includes incorporating DevSecOps processes to deliver DoD Cloud and cloud-like services to afloat platforms. 2) 22-PAC-1082 Digital HF Mesh On-the-Move System: The Government is seeking a prototype for a Digital HF Mesh On-the-Move System that provides an independent energy generation system to power a HF communication node and allow for remote, off-the-grid operations. 3) 22-LANT-1033 Implementation of a Secure Zero Trust Architecture and Design: The government is seeking an approach to implement a classified Zero Trust architecture using a Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) Software Defined (SD) Wide Area Network (WAN). The government will be presenting two (2) Pre-Solicitation Collaborations (PSCs), which will include a short brief and one-on-one breakout teleconferences. The PSC topics consist of the following: 1) Radio and Cryptography Prototype Phase 2: The government is seeking enhancements to the phase 1 prototype for advanced C-Band radio and cryptography technologies, which enables Assured Command and Control and Integrated Fires capabilities fielded on ships, aircraft, and land mobile units. 2) Program Executive Office (PEO) for Manpower Logistics and Business Solutions (MLB) Data Transformation Service (DaTS) Common Application Programming Interface (API) Framework and API Portal Development Plan Development: The government is seeking to develop a centralized cloud-hosted endpoint as a data hub to access several disparate data sources. The features implemented include the following: User authentication, Discovery, and Subscription.
