- Description
- USDA APHIS WS Feral Swine Program is requesting the following: (12) M.I.N.E. GATE WITH CONTROL BOX (12) 12 RIGID PANELS w/13 CONNECTING RODS (12) 4G VZW M.I.N.E. CAMERA ASSEMBLY (4) M.I.N.E. TRAP TRAILER 10' bed with 3500 lbs. axle Trap Dimensions and specifications: The trailer trap is required to have little set up time, this gives the employee more time and makes it easier to move the trap to other trapping sites. The panels and gates are to be built to fit on the trailer and safely moved by either UTV, ATV or vehicle through rough terrain. Trailer must couple to a 2 trailer ball. It is imperative that the trapping system needs to be light weight enough to be assembled by one employee. Traps must have a minimum diameter of 20 feet and minimum circumference of 67 feet in order to fit in large or small trap locations. Panels and gates must be 81.5 wide and 66 high. This size allows the trap to be light enough for single employees to set up while being large enough so that feral swine is not able to escape. The design of the trailer traps allows configuration set up to drop one gate or up to four trap gates if required. The gates must be constructed so they can be disassembled into two parts for easier movement and storage. The trap system is required to use secure pins that allow each panel to attach without the use of posts, wire or bolts. To ensure the trap will provide a variety of entrapment configurations, the trap is required to have two 81.5x 66 wide trap doors that can be used side by side to allow for a larger opening for feral swine to enter or utilizing the two doors in which they can be placed on opposite ends of the corral to allow flexibility on trap door placement increases the odds on successful feral swine catches. TRAILER TRAP SPECIFICATIONS: 8 steel wire panels 81 inches wide, 66 inches high, 1 inch 14 ga steel tubing, wire opening 2x4 inches, galvanized wire, pin size 5/8, pins sleeve size is 7/8 2 Trap gates are 81 inches wide, 66 inches high, 1 11 ga steel tubing, galvanized wire opening 2x4 inches, pin size 5/8 pin sleeve size 7/8, total gate opening 50 x 78 1/2 , gate slides 1 inch steel rod with 1 7/8 steel rings, remote latch attached in the center of the gate. Trailer total width is 66 inches, total length is 130 inches, total height is 79 inches, 11 ga steel frames with 9-inch fenders, tire size 15 ST205/75R15, trap bracket 2x4 steel, 2 inch ball size trailer hitch. Trap diameter with gates minimum 20 ft. Compatible with camera systems Compact trap, panels and gates hang on bracket, trailer has toolbox for pins. Can be hauled by UTV, ATV or truck CAMERA AND APPLICATION (iOS and Android) The live video feed capabilities enable employees to view the trap area in real time. This system can also be directly wired to any remote detonated trap gate which allows the trap gate to drop without using a second sim card and wireless carrier. The camera system is required to have a solar panel allows for self-charging of the battery. The trap company must have technical support via chat box on app, phone and email. These camera systems and traps must be compatible with a South CO. rotary latch as the trigger mechanism, to be paired with existing traps USDA WS SC has in inventory. USDA WS SC uses south co rotary automatic door latches as the primary trigger mechanism to drop multiple types of trap doors i.e., homemade, drop traps and aftermarket traps. The 12 live feed camera systems we are requesting will be used in conjunction with other traps in our fleet, due to the ease of moving a camera system to an existing trap or using one camera system for multiple trap sites. USDA APHIS South Carolina WS is requesting to purchase of 12 camera systems paired with 12 trailer traps.
