Description
RFQ-NIH-6280134 ZEISS OPMI LUMERA 700 MICROSCOPE SYSTEM 1.� This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.� This announcement constitutes the only solicitation that will be issued; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government anticipates a Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order will be issued from this solicitation. 2. This requirement is being solicited as Request for Quotation (RFQ) for brand name only.� The RFQ number is RFQ-NIH-6280134. 3. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-04, dated 01/30/2022. 4. This requirement is solicited as a total small business set-aside.� The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 339112.� Its associated Small Business Size Standard is 1000 employees. 5. List of Item(s):� The vendor shall provide the following item(s) in the quantities specified below. a.� ZEIS OPMI LUMERA 700 Microscope System � 1 each; refer to the Attachment 1 for specifications. 6. Description: Background: The National Institutes of Health, National Eye Institute intends to purchase a ZEIS OPMI LUMERA 700 surgical microscope to replace an aged, out of support and spare parts existing microscope.� The projects demand faster super-resolution imaging. �The system's ability to image thicker 3D tissue samples with high resolution also serves the needs for other projects.� The microscope offers the option to record everything using a USB device to document the cockpit view, has assistance functions, and intraoperative OCT1 images.� In addition, the accompanying ZEISS CALLISTO eye, together with a data management system such as FORUM from ZEISS, records live images on multiple drives. It also permits collaboration, allowing doctors and students to see data from all connected devices in the eyepiece. �ZEISS OPMI LUMERA 700 is a specialized eye surgery microscope for use in anterior and posterior eye segment surgeries. It enables clear visualization of each surgery, helping to achieve excellent outcomes. It is a modern surgical microscope. ZEISS OPMI LUMERA 700 specialized optics components offer superb clarity and critical insights during procedures.� General Requirements: Only quotes for the ZEISS OPMI LUMERA 700 from the manufacturer or authorized resellers are being solicited and will be considered. Vendors must provide their shipping lead time and any applicable delivery costs on their quote. 52.252-1 Solicitation Provisions Incorporated by Reference (Feb 1998) This RFQ incorporates one or more solicitation provisions by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. Provision 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors � Commercial Items (Nov 2021) is incorporated by reference. 8. Provision 52.212-2 Evaluation � Commercial Items (Nov 2021) is incorporated by reference. The provision 52.212-2 incorporated above is completed as follows.� Quotes received in response to this RFQ will be evaluated using the lowest-priced-technically-acceptable (LPTA) methodology.� To be determined �Technically Acceptable� the offeror must provide the item listed under item 5. above.� 9. Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications � Commercial Items (Nov 2021) applies to this acquisition. 10. Clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions�Commercial Items (Nov 2021), applies to this acquisition and no addenda to the clause are included. 11.
