Description
The US Coast Guard Office of Procurement & Contracting Miami Detachment (DOL 95) on behalf of U.S. Coast Guard Base Miami Beach Industrial Division, intends to award a sole source firm fixed price service purchase order to contractor to provide all parts and services to perform casualty repair to Building 3. Chiller Tower at Coast Guard Base Miami Beach Industrial per provide SOW. The contractor shall furnish trained, qualified personnel and any required special tools or equipment necessary to complete any work task which may be issued.� Work tasks may be issued in the following general areas: Industrial Division, CG Miami Beach 100 MacArthur Causeway, Miami Beach. 33139 Interested parties that believe they could satisfy the requirements listed above must clearly identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice. This notice of intent is not a solicitation. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objective of the repairs to the sewage line at the Coast Guard Station to prevent further damage to the system. � The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals. Scope of Services The contractor shall furnish trained, qualified personnel and any required special tools or Equipment necessary to complete the following work: Below work will be completed onboard Causeway Island. Contractor shall provide ALL labor and materials necessary to complete the project. Contractor shall comply with submittal requirements detailed below. Contractor shall secure the water and electric by way of isolation valves, complete water shutoff and lock out/tag out methods to the Cooling Tower. SEE FIGURE 1. Chilling tower shall not be inoperable for greater than 24hrs. If greater than 24 hrs. Contractor must obtain approval from Contracting Officers Representative. Contractor shall remove existing gear box from the motor and replace it with a new gear box. Contractor shall remove shall remove existing coupler and replace it with a new coupler. Contractor shall install a new cooling tower motor. (MOTOR SHALL BE PROVIDED BY THE USCG). Contractor shall re-install the damaged/missing fan blade. SEE FIGURE 2. Contractor shall rebuild existing gear box and return it to the USCG. Contractor shall reconnect all power to the cooling tower and remove the lockout/tag out and re-energize water supply to the tower. Contractor shall perform a Hydro test on the cooling tower. USCG personnel shall be present while test is performed. Contractor shall ensure that the cooling tower operates in a smooth efficient manner and has no leaks present and motor and controller are operating properly as designed, efficiently, and as designed. All installations shall be completed in accordance with any and all applicable manufacturer�s instructions and/or recommendations. Contractor shall provide operations and maintenance training on the replacement system to include controls to Facilities Engineering staff. Contractor shall protect all equipment and merchandise in work locations. Contractor shall be responsible for the removal of all trash and debris from project area upon completion. All work must be approved by the Contracting Officer�s Representative. Applicable NAICS code: 811310
