- Description
- The Government is considering an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the fabrication, sandblasting, and painting of the BAK-12 Aircraft Arresting System (AAS) and Mobile Aircraft Arresting System (MAAS). The BAK-12 is an Aircraft Arresting System that acts as a mechanical barrier capable of rapidly decelerating a landing aircraft. The purpose of this request is to gain information while strategically planning the acquisition of the mandatory overhaul of the BAK-12 systems. The Provided Sources Sought Document and Performance Work Statement (PWS) define the effort required to fabricate, sandblast, and paint BAK-12 AAS and MAAS components. The Government desires a 30 day turn around from delivery or pick up of the required items to receipt of fabricated, sandblasted and or painted items.
