Description
In winter 2024, the Library of Congress (Library) will open a new exhibition Voices of the Early Americas (working title). The exhibition will feature selections from the more than 3,000 rare maps, documents, paintings, prints, and artifacts from the Jay I. Kislak Collection, to explore the Olmec, the Maya, the Nahua, or Taino cultures, and many other Indigenous cultures, whose complex histories and stories began long before the arrival of Europeans and the Africans, Asians, and Pacific Islanders they brought with them. The exhibition will be mounted in the Library�s soon-to-be repurposed and renovated North Gallery.�The Library seeks a contractor that will provide expert quality, creative design services to create the New Kislak galleries and the exhibition �Voices of the Early Americas� (working title).
