- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR MARKET RESEARCH ONLY � This notice does not constitute a solicitation announcement or restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach and NO AWARD will occur from this notice.� NO SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS, OR DRAWINGS are available for this notice. �Responses to this Sources Sought notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP), or Information for Bid (IFB). � This is a SOURCES SOUGHT notice to determine the capabilities of both small AND large business firms. Small firms interested in performing this work are strongly urged to respond to this notice. Two or more small firms capable of performing this work will help to guide the acquisition strategy and influence potential set-aside. �This notice does not constitute a solicitation announcement, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach.� No solicitation or technical scope of services is available at this time.� The Government will use the responses to this SOURCES SOUGHT notice to make acquisition decisions.� Businesses are strongly encouraged to review this SOURCES SOUGHT and submit according to the directions in this notice. This Sources Sought announcement is for planning and market research purpose only. The results of the market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Dewey Lake has three service gates measuring approximately 5-foot wide by 10-foot high. Each service gate is equipped with a roller chain on each side with a roller chain cover attached by bolts. To raise and lower the service gates, a sheave block assembly is attached at the top of each service gate. The bottom of the gate is equipped with an adjustable bronze seal. All ferrous surfaces of the service gates and their associated items including roller chain covers, shall be cleaned by abrasive blast cleaning to SSPC SP 5 (white metal) as specified hereinafter. Upon completion of surface preparation as specified, the surfaces shall be coated paint System 5-E-Z consisting of one double spray coat of vinyl zinc-rich VZ-108d and three double spray coats of vinyl V-766e paint. consist of cleaning and painting, and rivet replacement of three (3) service gates and their associated items. The work on the service gates shall be performed inside the intake structure.
