- �(i)������� This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii)������� The solicitation number is 75N95022Q00152 and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This acquisition is for a commercial item or service and is conducted under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13�Simplified Acquisition Procedures; FAR Subpart 13.5�Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items; and FAR Part 12�Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold. �(iii)����� The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) Number 2022-05 with effective date March 07, 2022. (iv)������ The associated NAICS code 333314 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This requirement has no set-aside restrictions. (v)������ This requirement is to upgrade the existing 532 nm excitation laser to 561 nm excitation� laser in the Abberior EXPERT Line STED microscope system. This is a Brand Name or Equal requirement.� The salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics that �equal� products must meet are specified in the salient characteristics below.� Please be advised that any �equal� product must be compatible with our current Abberior 532 nm excitation laser system. � � � Salient Characteristics include: Wavelength: 561 nm Pulsed mode: 200 ?W @ 40MHz (out of laser head), pulse length ~120 ps Ultrafast direct trigger control (mandatory for the RESCUE STED mode upgrade) Software power control Tested and optimized for STED excitation Designed for the combination with a 775nm pulsed STED laser Certified technician from Abberior Instruments America LLC, and all service performed on this equipment shall be provided by certified and factory trained technicians. Contractor shall warrant that the Equipment will be free from material defects for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of acceptance. Technicians shall have the ability to diagnose the systems on site via remote access. Contractor shall provide any required replacement components due to malfunctions on-site. Laser Module and all additional components shall be compatible with existing Abberior system. All deliverables required under this contract shall be packaged, marked and shipped in accordance with Government specifications. At a minimum, all deliverables shall be marked with the contract number and Contractor name. The Contractor shall guarantee that all required materials shall be delivered in immediate usable and acceptable condition. (vi)��� Delivery shall be made to: National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), Building 35, Room 2B-1008,�35 Convent Drive,�Bethesda, MD 20892 (vii).� � �The Government anticipates award of a firm fixed-price purchase order for this acquisition, and the anticipated delivery date is within ten (10) weeks after receipt of order (ARO).� Delivery destination will be f.o.b. destination. Technical and past performance, when combined, are significantly more important than cost or price. (b) A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. Before the offer�s specified expiration time, the Government may accept an offer (or part of an offer), whether or not there are negotiations after its receipt, unless a written notice of withdrawal is received before award.
