- Description
- The U.S. Census Bureau (USCB) is conducting a SOURCES SOUGHT in support of the Quality and Enterprise Development Support (QEDS) within Application Development Services Division (ADSD), to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to provide Integration Platform Support Services. This is a request to determine the following: Potential sources capable of fulfilling this requirement Ways and means to improve the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and the Lifecycle Cost Estimated to perform this requirement. Industry recommended methods to evaluate an offer to ascertain a vendor with a high likelihood of success Which socio-economic programs provide for sufficient competition among vendors that have the capacity to perform this requirement The Census Bureau has outlined a vision and strategy for shared services where application services and data are provided through an application-programming interface (API) that is accessible across the enterprise. The Census Bureau is seeking to acquire services to support its Shared Services and Application Program (API) environment. This support includes continued development and implementation of a system Integration Platform. The solution will help Census lower costs by allowing maximum re-use of existing IT investments and assets, regardless of the environment (OS, application server, etc) in which they run or the technology they were built upon. Unified application development tooling and end-to-end lifecycle management support further reduces development and maintenance cost and complexity. The long-term vision is that older, stove-piped applications will be replaced by a large set of services that encapsulate fine-grain business functions that can be invoked by any service consumer across the enterprise. The Contractor will be responsible for providing support for the following tasks: Integration Platform Services Webservices, API Development, and Architecture Design Services Middleware Administration Help Desk Services Front Door Support Program Management Support Consulting Services See the attached documents for further information.
