Description

Statement of Work For repairs to the BD Biosciences FACS Melody (N288/Rm. 274) (Code SCR) 1. Introduction/ Background The Biosciences Collaborative Laboratory (Building N288) requires repairs to a BD Biosciences FACS Melody instrument for upcoming experimental work. A GeneLab end user has an imminent requirement for an instrument that has nuclei sorting/isolation capability, and this instrument, which is currently broken, is the best suited to their needs. This instrument is a shared resource and has multiple users in the N288 collaborative community. These immenently upcoming GeneLab experiments, as well as future and continuing work across multiple projects, will depend on this instrument being fully operational for their success and timely completion. 2. Service Requirement Specifications The repairs must meet the following requirements: � Successfully restore the instrument (BD Biosciences FACS Melody) to fully operational status � Complete work in a safe and timely fashion 3. Scope of Work The vendor shall coordinate with the Lab and Building Manager to set up a date and time for service due to restricted access. The vendor shall abide by all safety requirements while working in the laboratory, including wearing required personal protective equipment. Vendor shall complete repairs to the BD FACS Melody (SN: R6617620145) instrument in Building N288 Room 274. 4. Deliverables 4.1 Repair of the BD Biosciences FACS Melody instrument (SN: R6617620145) to fully operational status. 4.2 The contractor shall provide service reports and any other applicable documentation to the Building and Lab Manager. 5. Period/ Place of Performance 5.1. Period of Performance is 30 Days After Receipt of Order (ARO) 5.2. Place of repairs will be at: NASA Ames Research Center Building N288, Room 274 Moffett Field, CA 94035 �
