Description

Naval Air Warfare Center � Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ, intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a purchase order with Data Security, Inc. of Lincoln, NE, a sole source basis, to procure a National Security Agency (NSA) compliant SSD (Solid State Drive) Drive Shredder/Solid State Media Destroyer (SSMD) for quasi office environment (limited floor space and sound level concerns) and volume capacity required to supplement the Government�s in-house hard (spin) drive destruction and disposal capability. The device must be on the NSA/Central Security Service Evaluated Products List (EPL) for Solid State Disintegrators and pass evaluation by the NSA for physical destruction of solid state media (per DON CIO Naval Message dated 16-Jun-2020) including solid state drives (SSD), flash drives, smart phones and CD/DVD optical media, to the required 2mm particle size. The NSA listed Data Security SSMD-2mm is the only unit available at this time that meets the Government�s requirements. Due to the aforementioned, Data Security, Inc. is the only source able to satisfy this requirement. THIS NOTIFICATION IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS.� No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice.� However, all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.� All inquiries and concerns must be addressed to the Contract Specialist, Ms. Sheila Battaglia at sheila.l.battaglia.civ@us.navy.mil.� Responses to this notice must be submitted by 04 May 2022.� A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government.
