Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice ONLY. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command at West Point, NY is conducting market research to ascertain the availability of interested and capable offers to provide one hundred and twenty (120) Nest and Fold Caf� Tables. The Government anticipates a small business set-aside, provided two (2) or more qualified small businesses respond to this sources sought synopsis with information sufficient to support a set-aside. Be advised that the U.S. Government will not be able to set aside this requirement if 2 or more small businesses do not respond with information to support the set-aside.� We encourage all small businesses, in all socioeconomic categories (including, 8(a) Business Development Program, Small Disadvantage Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned Small Business concerns), to identify their capabilities in meeting the requirement at a fair market price. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes � it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future.� This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supply or service.� Further, the U.S. Government is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this sources sought notice.� The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. Submittals will not be returned to the responder.� Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future RFQ or IFB or RFP, if any is issued.� If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Government wide Point of Entry.� It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the Government wide Point of Entry for additional information pertaining to this requirement.� The anticipated NAICS code(s) is 337211 � Tables, Wood, Office Type, Manufacturing; size standard in number of employees is 1,000. A need is anticipated to procure 120 Nest and Fold Caf� Tables to be placed at the Ike�s Caf� at United State Military Academy Ike Hall, West Point, NY. Please see specification sheet attached for product/requirement details. In response to this sources sought, please provide: 1.� Name of the firm, point of contact, phone number, email address, DUNS number, CAGE code, a statement regarding small business status (including small business type(s)/certifications(s) such as SDB, 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, etc.) and the corresponding NAICS code. 2.� Identify whether your firm is interested in competing for this requirement as a prime contractor or not.� Identify subcontracting, joint ventures or teaming arrangement that will be pursued, if any. 3.� Information in sufficient detail regarding previous experience (indicate whether as a prime contractor or subcontractor) on similar requirements (include size, scope, complexity, timeframe, government or commercial), pertinent certifications, etc., that will facilitate making a capability determination.� 4. Information to help determine if the requirement, Nest and Fold Caf� Tables is commercially available, including pricing information, basis for the pricing information (e.g., market pricing, catalog pricing), delivery schedules, customary terms and conditions, warranties, etc. 5.� Identify how the Army can best structure these contract requirements to facilitate competition by and among small business concerns. 6.� Identify any condition or action that may be having the effect of unnecessarily restricting competition with respect to this acquisition.� Please contact the MICC Advocate for Competition, Dayanna De la Cruz Cuello, at Dayanna.delacruzcuello.civ@army.mil, if you believe that this action is unreasonably restricting competition.� Include the subject of the acquisition, this announcement, and the MICC POC information from the betaSAM.gov notice.� Provide the specific aspects that unreasonably restrict competition and the rationale for such conclusion. 7. SPECIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS PROJECT: The Ike Hall Culinary Services requires the supply, delivery, and setup of furniture at the following location. LOCATION: �� United States Military Academy (Ike Hall) 2nd Floor / Ike�s Cafe West Point, NY 10996 Products Services Requested MFR: �Please put out to bid Model #: Please put out to bid Product: Square Mobile Nest & Fold Cafe Table Dimensions: 36� W X 36� L X 30� H Top Color Finish: Wild Cherry Laminate Table Edging: Charcoal CH Vinyl Edge Banding Base Color Finish: Leg Color Platinum PL ALL TABLES must have the following standard features: Features must include locking casters, sturdy x-base and a folding mechanism that allows for no-wobbling of the top when down in the flat position. Details below: Need the table to have a HPL top with a glue-on edge to mitigate liquid spills. Work Surface: 1 �� thick 45lb. Density particleboard sealed with laminate backer for balanced construction. Long-life high-pressure laminate (HPL) surface with form fitting mechanically fastened vinyl edge banding glue-on edge Base & Column: Constructed of cast aluminum with welded and bolted assembly. Attaches to a 2 �� column made of 13-gauge steel. Folding Mechanism: 11-gauge top plate connects to column. Injection molded aluminum and steel requires (8)� #12-14 screws. Casters: 2� locking swivel casters Nesting: Secure folding mechanism allows tops to fold, saving space. Nesting legs and casters provide compact storage. The following Delivery, Installation and Disposition instructions must be followed: The Contractor shall deliver the tables to the 2nd Floor at the location listed above. The end-user POC will be present during the delivery to inspect the product, answer questions, and provide guidance. ALL physical labor (delivering, unpacking, assembling, installation and removal of all packing and shipping materials, waste, and debris) shall be done solely by the Contractor. The Contractor will place the tables in the room in a manner that will be pleasing to the eye without obstructing any exits, entry points, or walkways - or, as instructed by the end-user at the location. The Contractor shall remove and dispose of all the packing / shipping materials, waste and debris that results from unpacking and delivery of the tables. The Contractor shall use his/her own shipment vehicle to remove and dispose of all packing / shipping materials, waste, and debris. Water and Electricity are available throughout the facility for the Contractor�s use. The removal and disposition of old / existing tables (if applicable) will be the sole responsibility of the end-user. The following requirements must be adhered to: � The work for the entire project is to be completed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Monday through Friday). Overtime and Weekends will not be authorized for government employees (NO EXCEPTIONS) Building 655 (Ike Hall) is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Contractor will need to inform the end-user POC at least 48 hours working hours in advance to coordinate delivery and access. Summer and holiday hours may vary. �Important Delivery Information: The vendor must deliver the tables through the Loading Dock area behind Bldg. 655. There are six steps in this area. There is a ramp directly in front of the door where the shipping vehicle should park to unload. Delivery personnel may proceed through the door to access the Freight Elevator and take it to the 2nd Floor. The Carrier / Shipper must contact the end-user, POC, with any questions Delivery personnel will have open and level access to the final delivery site on the 2nd Floor. The Period of Performance for this proposal will begin within 30 (thirty) days ARO (After Receipt of Order). The Vendor must contact POC to make arrangements prior to delivery.
