Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command � New Jersey, on behalf of U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command � Armaments Center (DEVCOM AC), Quality Engineering & System Assurance Division (QE&SA), Evaluation Methodology Laboratories (EML) at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, is conducting market research to determine the capability of businesses to provide an �Electromagnetic Test Inspection System� with the following requirements: The contractor shall provide an electromagnetic system and with the following capabilities: The system shall consist of both a stationary electromagnetic test instrument and a hand held portable electromagnetic instrument. The stationary electromagnetic test instrument shall have the following at a minimum: Transportation case; Support eddy current testing with the following minimum capabilities: Frequency range of at least 5Hz to 4MHz; Supports 7-pin LEMO connection. Support eddy current array testing with the following minimum capabilities: Frequency range of at least 5Hz to 4MHz; Utilizes encoder for C-Scan capability. Supports near/remote field testing. Supports magnetic flux leakage testing. Software package with the following minimum capabilities: All necessary licenses to perform inspections; Supports data analysis and display of both the portable and stationary units; Supports custom surface array probes; Generates inspection reports; Perform inspections with: Filters: Median, High Pass, and Low Pass; Alarms: Audible and visual; Alarm type: adjustable box, sector, and polar. The hand held portable electromagnetic test instrument shall have the following at a minimum: Battery life of at least 10 hours; AC rechargeable; Water resistant; Carrying case; Filters: Median, High Pass, and Low Pass; Alarms: Audible and visual; Alarm type: adjustable box, sector, and polar; USB connectivity. Support eddy current testing with the following minimum capabilities: Frequency range of at least 5Hz to 4MHz; Supports 7-pin LEMO connection. Support eddy current array testing with the following capabilities: Frequency range of at least 5Hz to 4MHz; Utilizes encoder for C-Scan capability. Support conductivity testing with the following capabilities: 1-100% IACS readout; At least +/- 1% IACS accuracy over the entire range; Supports 7-pin LEMO connection. The system will also come equipped with the following: Eddy current probe kit; Encoders; Flexible eddy current array surface inspection probes; Flexible eddy current array weld inspection probes; Conductivity Probes. The contractor shall also provide a minimum of 12 hours virtual training and two (2) printed and/or electronic copies of an updated Operator�s Manual. The Product Supply Code is 6635 (Physical Properties Testing and Inspection). Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond; however, each respondent must clearly identify their business size in their capabilities statement. SUBMISSION DETAILS: Each potential source is requested to provide the contract number(s), dollar value(s), and brief description of work previously or currently being performed, which specifically demonstrates the contractor's ability to successfully satisfy the requirements of the Supply. Firms shall also provide point of contact information, where available, for the efforts cited above.�All data should be sent at no cost to the US Government by May 09, 2022 to the US Army DEVCOM AC.
