The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Southwest Research Institute (SwRI), 6220 Culebra Road, San Antonio, TX 78238, Cage Code: 26401, for an IDIQ contract for Improved Computational Capabilities for Armor and Munition Technologies, and the Response of the Soldier Research and Development Support Services. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, this notice does function as a Request for Information (RFI) for offeror�s who believe they can meet the Government�s requirement (see Section 9 below). Any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. �A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� 9. Requirement: The Government requires the procurement of Improved Computational Capabilities for Armor and Munition Technologies, and the Response of the Soldier Research and Development Support Services for a Base Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ). The Government does not intend to use Part 12 for this acquisition.
