- AMENDMENT 002 - provides notes and sign in sheet from site visit/ AMENDMENT 001 - Extends date/time for submission of bids and where they are to be submitted; provides information for on-site visit to be held on April 29, 2022, 10 a.m., and provides response to recently received questions. *************************************************************************************************************************************************** The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Production and Conservation � Acquisition� Division intends to issue a Request for Bids (RFB) in accordance with FAR Part 14 on behalf of the USDA - Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) for the Erosion Control for the Newman and Powell Roads in Amite County, MS. The focus of the project is to install bank stabilization measures in order to protect Powell Road and a power pole with 600 cubic yards of earthfill and 2,800 tons of rock riprap.� � The solicitation will be a Total Small Business set-aside.� Interested contractors must be registered in and must complete the annual representations and certifications electronically via the System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award. A firm fixed price construction contract is anticipated under the Sealed Bidding Procedures in FAR Part 14.� A bid bond in the amount of 20% of the bid price is required to be submitted with bids. Bids and bid guarantees may only be submitted electronically due to COVID-19 restrictions.� A formal bid opening will be held virtually; information for which will be published with the solicitation A Performance Bond (SF-24A), Payment Bond (SF-25A), Irrevocable Letter of Credit (ILC), or a Tripartite Escrow Agreement in the amount of 100% of the project cost will be required within 10 calendar days of award of the contract. The anticipated period of performance for this project is 78 calendar days from the date the contractor receives the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000.� The NAICS code for this solicitation is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction.� The Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS is $39.5M. Interested parties are encouraged to inspect the site where the work will be performed. Due to COVID-19 concerns, the site visit will be done by teleconference on March 18, 2022 at 10:00 CT with pictures of the site posted to FBO.
