**EDIT 4/26/2022:��If your company has the capability to manufacture these cylinders, but there is something within this notice that is causing you to not respond, please identify the concern/issue to Julie.A.Thomas58.civ@us.navy.mil.** THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE.� This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals. �Submission of any information in response to this announcement is purely voluntary; the Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport is seeking industry partners capable of manufacturing Pressure Cylinder, Composite ICD in accordance with NAVSEA drawing 8290010 Revision B.� The general description that follows does not reflect the exact specifications per the drawing; it is a general description provided to enable industry to determine if it is interested in obtaining the drawing in order to respond to this sources sought notice. General Description: capable of housing compressed Nitrogen gas (no liquid) at 72 degrees Fahrenheit, with a working range from -40 degrees to 140 degrees; liner material: 6061-T6 aluminum per ASTM B221; composite material (outer jacket): carbon and S-type glass; approximately 12.5-inches long; up to 3.5-inches wide; maximum weight: 2.5 pounds; minimum water volume: 68 cubic inches; minimum service pressure: 4500 PSIG; minimum test pressure: 7500 PSIG; must be manufactured in accordance with the Department of Transportation Carbon-Fiber Reinforced Cylinders (DOT-CFFC) specification.� The manufacturer must be ISO 9001:2015 certified.� Note: The suggested source identified on the drawing is just that, a suggestion; it is not a mandatory source nor the only potential source.� The Government is seeking additional industry partners who are capable of manufacturing the pressure cylinder in accordance with NAVSEA drawing 8290010 Revision B. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is either 332439, Other Metal Container (Light Gauge) Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 500 employees, or 332420, Metal Tank (Heavy Gauge) Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 750 employees.� As part of this market research, the Government seeks industry�s input regarding which NAICS code most accurately represents this pressure cylinder requirement.� This Sources Sought Notice is cross-posted to appear under both of these NAICS codes as we search for the correct industry sector.� The Product Service Code (PSC) is 8120, Commercial & Industrial Gas Cylinders.� The Government anticipates soliciting a firm fixed price contract, including 7 first article test units and 791 production units as the initial (base) quantity, with an option to purchase an additional 672 production units.� The first article units will be required to pass inspection, testing, and acceptance by the Government before manufacturing any production units would be authorized. TO OBTAIN THE DRAWING: The drawing contains distribution control statements. Therefore, it will be released only to those companies that meet the following criteria: Have a minimum Confidence Level rating of Basic, with a minimum Assessment Score of 110, in the NIST SP 800-171 Assessment Compliance Report posted within the Supplier Performance Risk System.� For more information regarding NIST SP 800-171, please go to https://www.sprs.csd.disa.mil/.
