- Description
- Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Child Health and Development (NICHD), in support of the work of the National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive, and Kidney Disease (NIDDK), is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small businesses, including 8(a) small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, woman-owned small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or HUBZone small businesses capable of providing the following (1) new Boston Electronics Fluorescence Lifetime System. A major obstacle in our overall comprehension of these neural circuits is the inability to monitor neuromodulation and intracellular molecular signals in real time in a live animal. The purpose of this requirement is to acquire a two-color fluorescence lifetime acquisition system that would satisfy three needs for the Lutas Lab: 1) provide immediate applicability via turnkey, reliable equipment; 2) allow for multiplexing of picosecond-pulse lasers to perform two-color fluorescence lifetime measurements; and 3) provide control and analysis software that is easy to use and is reliable.
