Description
The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base has a requirement for the procurement and installation of a BSL-3 pass-through steam sterilizer/autoclave, with the removal of the existing autoclave (Getinge).� The new autoclave must meet the following requirements: Product must be manufactured in the United States Product must have vertical sliding doors and operator panel on both sides (clean side/dirty side). Product must have programmable Gravity cycles with up to 60 minute exposure times. Product must have programmable Liquid cycles with up to 60 minute exposure times. Product must have programmable printer. Product must have a 208V, 60hz plug. Product must fit in current space and must have bio-seal: 43� width x 73.5� (78.5� with bio-seal) height x 40� depth Product must have the following chamber dimensions: 20� width x 20� height x 39� depth Vendor will provide/install water conditioner to treat water entering autoclave. Vendor will install equipment and haul away/dispose of current autoclave. Vendor will provide training for equipment technicians and users (at least 4 personnel). Vendor must have 24/7 stateside technical support. Due to the nature of operations within the BSL-3 laboratory, it is anticipated to require at least 120 calendar days to prepare facility/operations for shutdown.� To this end, the government anticipates housing the autoclave within a warehouse until the date of install in order to alleviate contractor costs of organizing concurrent shipment of the equipment with travel accommodations for the install team. Depending on the results of this sources sought notice, it is anticipated for a site visit to take place if/when a solicitation for this requirement is released for vendors to ascertain site dimensions, water quality/PH levels.� If you have interest in attending a site visit, please include that in your response. This is a Sources Sought (SS).� This is not a presolicitation or Request for Quote (RFQ) and is not to be construed as any commitment by the Government. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract and or pay for any quote preparation costs.� The Government will not accept quotes at this time.� This notice is not an offer by the Government to enter into a contract. Interested Small Business concerns must identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement by closing date listed. Responses will allow the Government to conduct an initial review of market capabilities in support of requirements identified above. Responses will be accepted until 11 May 2022 at 10 AM Eastern Time and should address the following questions: 1. Identification of whether the company is currently designated as a Small Business as defined in FAR Part 19.1 and the appropriate category (e.g., 8(a), HubZone, etc.). 3. Company description of relevant capability and experience to provide supplies/services in accordance with the minimum requirements (may submit product literature for evaluation).
