THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool being used to determine potential and eligible firms capable of providing the supplies/services described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition. ANTICIPATED AWARD DATE: June 2023 Contract Type � Firm, Fixed Price, Basic Ordering Agreement Period of Performance � The ordering period will span five years from the date of award through five years thereafter. Scope � The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) is seeking sources to provide�navigation hardware components.��It is the Government�s intention to procure the required equipment from the OEM, Hexagon US Federal,�in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, as only one responsible source to meet the government�s requirements. Capability Statements: NSWCPD�s intent is to process this procurement on a sole source basis to Hexagon.�The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one�source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested businesses may identify their interest and capability to respond to�the requirement or submit a capability statement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A�determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is�solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the�purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The proposed procurement is being�processed as a Sole Source Unrestricted-Full and Open basis. Prior to issuing a limited source solicitation, NSWCPD is requesting information in order to make an informed�determination regarding procurement strategy. Note: The requested information is for planning purposes and does not constitute a commitment, implied or�otherwise, that a procurement action will be issued nor will the Government pay for the information solicited. All�information and data received in response to this sources sought marked or designated a corporate proprietary�information will be fully protected and held in strict confidence. Note: No telephone responses will be accepted. No contractor response received after the advertised due date and�time will be accepted. No exceptions to this receipt deadline will be granted under any circumstances. Responses�must be received no later than 17:00pm EST on 6 May 2022 by e-mail to jillian.n.staskin.civ@us.navy.mil. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this RFI, and the Government will not�compensate the respondent for any cost incurred in developing the response to this RFI. The Government will not�release any information marked with proprietary legend received in response to this RFI to any firms, agencies, or�individuals outside of the Government without written permission in accordance with the legend. Please be�advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned.
