Description

The Combating Transnational Corruption (CTC) Grand Challenge will leverage innovation and collaboration to preserve resources for the public good rather than being siphoned off by corrupt actors for their private gain. Through the CTC Grand Challenge, USAID and its partners will work collaboratively to build coalitions and source innovative solutions to detect and disrupt illicit finance and trafficking of high-value commodities; strengthen transparency and accountability in global supply chains; and promote standards, practices, and norms that enhance integrity in the public and private sectors. Launched in 2011, USAID�s Grand Challenges for Development mobilize governments, companies, and foundations around important issues. Through these programs, USAID and public and private partners bring new voices to solve development problems. They source new solutions, test ideas, and scale what works. Innovators can come from anywhere in the world. Implementation must take place in a developing or emerging country. All Grand Challenges offer challenge grants, but many use additional tools depending on the problem they intend to solve. These can include prizes, hack-a-thons, co-creation, investment, capacity-building services, and more.
