This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 12405B22Q0088 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The NAICS code NAICS 339113 - Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing. This solicitation document incorporates those provision and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-04. STATEMENT OF WORK Small steam sterilizer for use in laboratory: Capacity: 110 Liters, programmed with the standard pre-vac, liquid and gravity cycles. Install dimensions (W x H x L): 26 x 75 x 36 In with vertical sliding door. Chamber size (W x H x L): 16 x 16 x 26 In. Steam source: integral electric steam system. Cycles: prevacuum, and isothermal sterilizers, for sterilization of liquids and media in vented borosilicate glass or metal containers at 100C to 141C, liquid air cool, gravity cycle, liquid cycle, and preconfigured waste bag cycle. Control system: PLC control, display, monitor, and control all sterilizer operations and functions. All control configuring is performed through touch screen displays. Safety: control lockout switch which enables the senses when door seal is energized, the pressure relief valve to limit the amount of pressure buildup, emergency stop function. A Steam Sterilizer is requested for the replacement of our old and obsolete sterilizer Steris V116. Steris is no longer manufacturing the V116. Steris recommended AMSCO 110LS to replace V116. We will not consider anything larger than our current one due to limited lab space and lab safety concerns. 2 major points: Steris will fit the space because that is what currently is in place. We are in a leased space and cannot recess machinery into the walls. We need a new (non-refurbished) Steris for the service contract in place. We will not accept a refurbished item for AMSCO-110LS We have viewed Tuttnauer models. Tuttnauer models appear to be outside our limited lab space. We will not accept due to space and safety concerns. What is being sterilized? All biological lab needs including agar media, broth media, water, waste media and consumables, pipette tips, glassware, miracloth, weighing tools, etc. Are you sterilizing media or liquids? Yes, agar media, broth media and water. How much is being sterilized per day and per cycle? Need to sterilize many loads per day depending on the lab work, often running all day long. What is the delivery address? 120 Faser Hall, University of Mississippi. Will this be located on the first floor? No Do you have a dock for delivery? Yes, but there is construction around it and sometimes things are delivered to receiving on Jeanette Phillips Drive, University of Mississippi campus, need to bring it to Faser. Will this be free standing - or inside a wall? Attached to the wall. We will not accept item requiring the unit but recessed through a wall. Single door, correct? If you need a dual door (pass-thru autoclave) will you need a Bioseal? Single door (sliding) Do you have in-house steam? No. Or will you need steam generators? Yes, must be an onboard steam generator due to very limited lab space. Installation: The sterilizer will be installed by Steris which includes all necessary labor, materials required to uncrate, set-in place and assemble the equipment, operational check-out test, any necessary adjustments, and a demonstration of the equipment for appropriate facility personnel.
