Description
Amendment 1: This Amendment posts Government responses to questions received from the original posting, as well as modifies the Specifications document to reflect those responses. All other instructions, suspense dates, terms and conditions remain the same. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number NB688000-22-01509 is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) conducted under the authority of FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This RFQ, incorporated provisions, and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2022-04. The associated NAICS 333314 code has a small business size standard of 500 employees. This is requirement is for Full and Open competition. Background/Scope: The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) requires one (1) 1065 - 1072 nm fiber amplifier that has an output of 5 W and has safety interlocks to prevent pulsing and damage to optics downstream to support research in the Time & Frequency Division of the Physical Measurements Laboratory, based in Boulder, CO.� Any proposed items must meet all capabilities listed in the attached requirements and specifications document (Attachment A). Vendors must submit all questions concerned this solicitation via email, utilizing Attachment B - Question Submittal Form, to the Contract Specialist, Aaron Ritter, at aaron.ritter@nist.gov. Question should be received no later than 10:00 am Mountain Daylight Time on May 2, 2022. All responses to the questions will be made in writing, without identification of the questioner. Even if provided in other form, the questions responses included in the amendment to the solicitation will govern performance of the contract. Vendors shall submit their quotations so that NIST receives them no later than 10:00 am Mountain Daylight Time on May 5, 2022. Fax quotations shall not be accepted. Email quotations shall be accepted at aaron.ritter@nist.gov. Please reference the RFQ number in the subject line of email communications and attachments. Vendors' quotations shall not be deemed received by the Government until the quotation is entered in the email box set forth above. See attached RFQ for additional details, provisions and clauses.
