Description
Notice of Intent to Sole Source for the BIOVIA Materials Studio Software Licenses Renewal for the period of 06/01/2022 � 05/31/2023. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, the Department of Energy (DOE), National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basis to the DS Government Solutions Corp. for the BIOVIA Materials Studio Software Licenses Renewal for the period of 06/01/2021 � 05/31/2022. This order represents the software license renewal for NETL�s current set of BIOVIA licenses existent in the Computational Materials Engineering Team. This set of licenses are used for first principles calculations and molecular dynamics simulations for data analysis, visualization, and interpretation of the results for a diverse set of projects ranging from CO2 capture, CO2 utilization to SOFC data analysis. DS Government Solutions Corp. is the sole source provider of the BIOVIA portfolio products. This is considered a sole source to DS Government Solutions Corp. because, to the best of the NETL�s knowledge, based on market research conducted, DS Government Solutions Corp. is the only known source that can provide the BIOVIA Materials Studio Software Licenses Renewal. No known potential alternate sources exist which could satisfy NETL's requirement This notice of intent is not a request for quote/proposal. Any interested party that believes it can meet the NETL requirement described herein may identify themselves and must provide evidence of their capability to fulfill the requirement being requested by 5:30 PM ET on May 18, 2022. Responses must be submitted in writing to the Contract Specialist, Arturo Manantan, via email at arturo.manantan@netl.doe.gov no later than the time and date noted above. Telephone responses and requests will not be received. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
