Description

NOTICE OF INTENT The 502d Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole-source purchase order to Johnson Controls Inc (cage code 4LLF0), 3660 Thousand Oaks Dr STE 216, SATX 78247, for the purchase of a one-time installation of a Metasys system, network and relevant supplies and services required for the system installation.� The Metasys Energy Management Control System (EMCS) is required to ensure compatibility and interfacing with the existing Metasys EMCS platform in place at JBSA, TX.� The system is manufactured and installed only by JCI, and proprietary in nature.� JCI is the only contractor capable of meeting installation requirements of this compatible system. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, JCI,�under the authority of FAR 13.5. Interested persons may indentify their interest and capability of�responding to this requirement of the Metasys EMCS system or comparable,�or interested parties may submit quotes/offers clearly identifying capabily of providing a system equivalent or comparable to Metasys EMCS by JCI.��This notice of intent is neither a request for competitive quotes nor a solicitation for offers. However, all quotes/offers/capabilities statement received by the closing date and time of this Notice of Intent will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
